15 Delicious Uses For Ground Beef



Despite the common misconception, a lot of thin and underweight people want to learn how to gain weight fast. The formula for success is actually quite simple - you need to consume more calories than your body can burn. Thus, you need to eat larger portions of food more frequently. However, not all foods will help you reach your goal in a healthy way.

This almost seems a no-brainer but it is worth being reminded. If you are going to make one batch of your favorite Beef Curry Recipe, make two - one for now, and one for the freezer. Apply the same rule to any stews, simple meatballs in slow cooker recipes and even chicken casseroles. Most of these dishes are good natured and will freeze well. I love nothing more than being able to haul out a nutritious meal from the freezer on those stressed-out days. Moreover, I know that there are no preservatives, additives and colorants in the food that I have frozen. Plus, my freezer meal has cost nothing like the supermarket equivalent and always tastes better.

This goes to all meat lovers out there. When choosing poultry meat, choose the breast part with no skin on it. Ducks and goose contains huge deposits of fats so it is not so healthy for a health enthusiast. For beef, the best cuts to use are the flank, sirloin, tenderloin and flank steak. Avoid processed beef like corned beef and beef ribs. For pork, almost every part except the internal organs contains almost the same amount of body fat so any cut of pork will do as long as all visible fats are removed. Avoid pork ribs spare ribs, sausages, pork meatballs and hamcocks. Avoid processed fished especially if they are canned and have lots of oil in them. You should also avoid bologna, salami and pimiento loaf.

For example, the box shows a pizza that is loaded with toppings. The pizza we had was practically bare. There was plenty of pepperoni but there was hardly any sausage or peppers on it. In fact, I had a couple slices that were pretty much nothing but cheese and italian meatballs. And, the sauce made up the majority of that.

My suggestion, which is economical as well as earth friendly, is to reuse empty butter or sour cream containers to store tomato based products. This way you have the joy of reusing a product again and again without having to spend extra money replacing old stained Tupperware or bowls and you won't have to waste your time getting out a seemingly permanent stain that took two slow cooker chicken casserole minutes to create.
